2 “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god— (Isa 31:3; Eze 2:1; Eze 28:6; Eze 28:9; Eze 28:12; Re 18:7)

New International Version

2 ‘Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘ “In the pride of your heart you say, ‘I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.’ But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.

New International Reader’s Version

2 ‘Son of man, speak to Ethbaal. He is the ruler of Tyre. Tell him, “The LORD and King says, ‘ “ ‘In your proud heart you say, “I am a god. I sit on the throne of a god in the Mediterranean Sea.” But you are only a human being. You are not a god. In spite of that, you think you are as wise as a god.
