Ezekiel 22:28

English Standard Version

28 And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken. (Eze 13:6; Eze 13:10) 

New International Version

28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says” – when the Lord has not spoken. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 The prophets cover up these acts for them. The visions of these prophets are false. They use magic to try to find out what is going to happen. But their magic tricks are lies. They say, “The LORD and King says.” But I have not spoken to them. 

King James Version

28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter , seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
