25 The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. (Jer 11:9; Eze 19:3; Eze 22:27)

25 There is a conspiracy of her princes[1] within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her.

25 Ezekiel, the princes of the land are like a roaring lion that tears its food apart. They eat people up. They take treasures and other valuable things. They cause many women in the land to become widows.
