Exodus 22:27

English Standard Version

27 for that is his only covering, and it is his cloak for his body; in what else shall he sleep? And if he cries to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate. (Ex 22:23; Ex 34:6; 2Ch 30:9; Ne 9:17)

New International Reader’s Version

27 That coat is the only thing your neighbour owns to wear or sleep in. When they cry out to me, I will listen, because I am loving and kind.

King James Version

27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.
