2 [1] If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him, (Mt 24:43) 

New International Version

2 ‘If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; 

New International Reader’s Version

2 ‘Suppose you catch a thief breaking into your house at night. And suppose you hit the thief and the thief dies. Then you are not guilty of murder. 

King James Version

2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
