Ecclesiastes 7:10

English Standard Version

10 Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. 

New International Version

10 Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’ For it is not wise to ask such questions. 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Don’t say, ‘Why were things better in the good old days?’ It isn’t wise to ask that kind of question. 

King James Version

10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
