Deuteronomy 34:9

English Standard Version

9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses. (Ex 28:3; Nu 27:18; Nu 27:23; Jos 1:17; Isa 11:2) 

New International Version

9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[1] of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 Joshua, the son of Nun, was filled with wisdom. That’s because Moses had placed his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to Joshua. They did what the LORD had commanded Moses. 

King James Version

9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
