Acts 7:6

6 And God spoke to this effect—that his offspring would be sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them four hundred years. (Ge 15:13; Ex 2:22; Ex 12:40; Ac 7:17; Heb 11:9)

New International Version

6 God spoke to him in this way: “For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and ill-treated.

New International Reader’s Version

6 Here is what God said to him. “For 400 years your family after you will be strangers in a country not their own. They will be slaves and will be treated badly.

King James Version

6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
