English Standard Version

38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea. (Ac 27:18) 

New International Version

38 When they had eaten as much as they wanted, they lightened the ship by throwing the grain into the sea. 

New International Reader’s Version

38 They ate as much as they wanted. They needed to make the ship lighter. So they threw the rest of the corn into the sea. 

King James Version

38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
