14 Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. (De 7:6; Isa 43:21; Ac 15:7; Ac 18:10; Ro 9:24) 

New International Version

14 Simon[1] has described to us how God first intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 Simon Peter has explained to us what God has now done. He has chosen some of the Gentiles to be among his very own people. 

King James Version

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
