1 إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ فَتَاةٍ وَلَمْ تَرُقْ لَهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لأَنَّهُ اكْتَشَفَ فِيهَا عَيْباً مَا، وَأَعْطَاهَا كِتَابَ طَلاقٍ وَصَرَفَهَا مِنْ بَيْتِهِ، 

2 فَتَزَوَّجَتْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ آخَرَ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَصْبَحَتْ طَلِيقَةً، 

3 ثُمَّ كَرِهَهَا الزَّوْجُ الثَّانِي وَسَلَّمَهَا كِتَابَ طَلاقٍ وَصَرَفَهَا مِنْ بَيْتِهِ، أَوْ إِذَا مَاتَ هَذَا الزَّوْجُ، 

4 فَإِنَّهُ يُحْظَرُ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا الأَوَّلِ الَّذِي طَلَّقَهَا أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، بَعْدَ أَنْ تَنَجَّسَتْ. لأَنَّ ذَلِكَ رِجْسٌ لَدَى الرَّبِّ. فَلا تَجْلِبُوا خَطِيئَةً عَلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي يَهَبُهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ لَكُمْ مِيرَاثاً. 

5 إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ رَجُلٌ حَدِيثاً يُعْفَى مِنَ الْجُنْدِيَّةِ وَالْمَسْؤُولِيَّاتِ الْعَسْكَرِيَّةِ لِمُدَّةِ سَنَةٍ، يَقْضِيهَا حُرّاً فِي بَيْتِهِ لِيُسْعِدَ زَوْجَتَهُ وَيَسُرَّهَا. 

6 لَا يَسْتَرْهِنْ أَحَدٌ رَحىً أَوْ أَحَدَ حَجَرَيْهَا، لأَنَّهُ يَسْتَرْهِنُ مَصْدَرَ الرِّزْقِ. 

7 إِذَا خَطَفَ رَجُلٌ أَحَداً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِخْوَتِهِ وَاسْتَعْبَدَهُ وَبَاعَهُ، يَمُوتُ الْخَاطِفُ. فَتَجْتَثُّونَ الشَّرَّ مِنْ بَيْنِكُمْ. 

8 احْرِصُوا عَلَى طَاعَةِ تَعْلِيمَاتِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ فِي حَالَةِ الإِصَابَةِ بِالْبَرَصِ، وَنَفِّذُوا بِدِقَّةٍ مَا أَمَرْتُهُمْ بِهِ. 

9 اذْكُرُوا مَا عَاقَبَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ بِهِ مَرْيَمَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ لَدَى خُرُوجِكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ. 

10 إِذَا أَقْرَضْتَ جَارَكَ قَرْضاً فَلا تَدْخُلْ بَيْتَهُ لِتَسْتَرْهِنَ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً، 

11 بَلْ تَمْكُثُ خَارِجاً، فَيَأْتِي الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي تُقْرِضُهُ بِالرَّهْنِ إِلَيْكَ حَيْثُ تَقِفُ. 

12 وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمُقْتَرِضُ فَقِيراً فَلا يَبِتْ رَهْنُهُ عِنْدَكَ، 

13 بَلْ رُدَّهُ إِلَيْهِ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ لِيَنَامَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَيُبَارِكَكَ، فَيَحْسِبَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ ذَلِكَ لَكَ بِرّاً. 

14 لَا تَظْلِمْ أَجِيراً وَفَقِيراً، سَوَاءٌ كَانَ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَوْ مِنَ الْغُرَبَاءِ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي مَدِينَتِكَ. 

15 ادْفَعْ لَهُ أُجْرَتَهُ فِي يَوْمِهِ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ لأَنَّهُ فَقِيرٌ، أَجْهَدَ نَفْسَهُ لِلْحُصُولِ عَلَيْهَا. وَإلَّا تَوَجَّهَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ بِالشَّكْوَى ضِدَّكَ، فَتَكُونُ هَذِهِ عَلَيْكَ خَطِيئَةً. 

16 لَا يُقْتَلُ الآبَاءُ عِوَضاً عَنِ الأَبْنَاءِ، وَلا يُقْتَلُ الأَبْنَاءُ بَدَلاً مِنَ الآبَاءِ، فَكُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَتَحَمَّلُ وِزْرَ نَفْسِهِ. 

17 لَا تُحَرِّفُوا حُكْمَ الْعَدَالَةِ فَتَظْلِمُوا الْغَرِيبَ وَالْيَتِيمَ، وَلا تَسْتَرْهِنُوا ثَوْبَ الأَرْمَلَةِ، 

18 وَاذْكُرُوا أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ عَبِيداً فِي دِيَارِ مِصْرَ فَأَنْقَذَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ. لِهَذَا أُوصِيكُمْ بِالْعَدْلِ. 

19 إِذَا حَصَدْتُمْ غَلّاتِكُمْ وَنَسِيْتُمْ حُزْمَةً فِي الْحَقْلِ فَلا تَرْجِعُوا لأَخْذِهَا، بَلِ اتْرُكُوهَا لِلْغَرِيبِ وَالْيَتِيمِ وَالأَرْمَلَةِ، لِيُبَارِكَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ مَا تَعْمَلُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ. 

20 إِذَا هَزَزْتُمْ أَشْجَارَ زَيْتُونِكُمْ لإِسْقَاطِ ثِمَارِهَا، فَلا تَلْتَقِطُوا مَا بَقِيَ فِي الأَغْصَانِ مِنْهَا، بَلِ اتْرُكُوهَا وَرَاءَكُمْ لِلْغَرِيبِ وَالْيَتِيمِ وَالأَرْمَلَةِ. 

21 إِذَا قَطَفْتُمْ كُرُومَكُمْ فَلا تُعَاوِدُوا قَطْفَ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عَنَاقِيدَ وَرَاءَكُمْ، بَلِ اتْرُكُوهَا لِلْغَرِيبِ وَالْيَتِيمِ وَالأَرْمَلَةِ. 

22 وَاذْكُرُوا أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ عَبِيداً فِي دِيَارِ مِصْرَ. مِنْ أَجْلِ هَذَا أُوصِيكُمْ أَنْ تُنَفِّذُوا هَذَا الأَمْرَ.

La legge del divorzio

1 «Quando un uomo sposa una donna che poi non vuole più, perché ha scoperto qualcosa di indecente a suo riguardo, le scriva un atto di ripudio, glielo metta in mano e la mandi via. 

2 Se lei, uscita dalla casa di quell’uomo, diviene moglie di un altro, 

3 e se quest’altro marito la prende in odio, scrive per lei un atto di divorzio, glielo mette in mano e la manda via di casa sua, o se quest’altro marito, che l’aveva presa in moglie, muore, 

4 il primo marito, che l’aveva mandata via, non potrà riprenderla in moglie dopo che lei è stata contaminata, poiché sarebbe cosa abominevole agli occhi del Signore. Tu non macchierai di peccato il paese che il Signore, il tuo Dio, ti dà come eredità. 

Prescrizioni varie

5 «Un uomo sposato da poco non andrà alla guerra e non gli sarà imposto alcun incarico; sarà libero per un anno di starsene a casa e farà lieta la moglie che ha sposata. 

6 Nessuno prenderà in pegno le due macine, nemmeno la macina superiore, perché sarebbe come prendere in pegno la vita. 

7 Quando si troverà un uomo che ha rapito qualcuno dei suoi fratelli tra i figli d’Israele, ne abbia fatto un suo schiavo e lo abbia venduto, quel ladro sarà messo a morte; così toglierai via il male di mezzo a te. 

8 State in guardia contro il flagello della lebbra, per osservare diligentemente e fare tutto quello che i sacerdoti levitici vi insegneranno; avrete cura di fare come io ho ordinato loro. 

9 Ricòrdati di quello che il Signore, il tuo Dio, fece a Miriam, durante il viaggio, dopo che usciste dall’Egitto. 

10 Quando presterai qualche cosa al tuo prossimo, non entrerai in casa sua per prendere il suo pegno; 

11 te ne starai fuori, e l’uomo a cui avrai fatto il prestito ti porterà il pegno fuori. 

12 Se quell’uomo è povero, non ti coricherai avendo ancora il suo pegno. 

13 Non mancherai di restituirgli il pegno, al tramonto del sole, affinché egli possa dormire nel suo mantello e benedirti; questo ti sarà contato come un atto di giustizia agli occhi del Signore tuo Dio. 

14 Non defrauderai l’operaio povero e bisognoso, sia egli uno dei tuoi fratelli o uno degli stranieri che stanno nel tuo paese, nelle tue città. 

15 Gli darai il suo salario ogni giorno, prima che tramonti il sole, poiché egli è povero e l’aspetta con impazienza; così egli non griderà contro di te al Signore e tu non commetterai un peccato. 

16 Non si metteranno a morte i padri per colpa dei figli, né si metteranno a morte i figli per colpa dei padri; ognuno sarà messo a morte per il proprio peccato. 

17 Non calpesterai il diritto dello straniero o dell’orfano e non prenderai in pegno la veste della vedova; 

18 ma ti ricorderai che sei stato schiavo in Egitto e che di là ti ha liberato il Signore, il tuo Dio; perciò ti ordino di fare così. 

Prescrizioni umanitarie

19 «Se, mietendo il tuo campo, vi avrai dimenticato qualche covone, non tornerai indietro a prenderlo; sarà per lo straniero, per l’orfano e per la vedova, affinché il Signore, il tuo Dio, ti benedica in tutta l’opera delle tue mani. 

20 Quando scuoterai i tuoi ulivi, non tornerai per ripassare i rami. Le olive rimaste saranno per lo straniero, per l’orfano e per la vedova. 

21 Quando vendemmierai la tua vigna, non ripasserai a coglierne i grappoli rimasti; saranno per lo straniero, per l’orfano e per la vedova. 

22 Ti ricorderai che sei stato schiavo nel paese d’Egitto; perciò ti ordino di fare così.

Laws Concerning Divorce

1 “When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house, (إش 50:1; إر 3:8; مت 5:31; مت 19:7; مر 10:4) 

2 and if she goes and becomes another man’s wife, 

3 and the latter man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter man dies, who took her to be his wife, 

4 then her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the LORD. And you shall not bring sin upon the land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance. (إر 3:1) 

Miscellaneous Laws

5 “When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken. (تث 20:7; أم 5:18) 

6 “No one shall take a mill or an upper millstone in pledge, for that would be taking a life in pledge. 

7 “If a man is found stealing one of his brothers of the people of Israel, and if he treats him as a slave or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. (خر 21:16; تث 13:5; تث 21:14; 1تي 1:10) 

8 “Take care, in a case of leprous disease, to be very careful to do according to all that the Levitical priests shall direct you. As I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do. (لا 13:1) 

9 Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way as you came out of Egypt. (عد 12:10; تث 25:17) 

10 “When you make your neighbor a loan of any sort, you shall not go into his house to collect his pledge. 

11 You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you make the loan shall bring the pledge out to you. 

12 And if he is a poor man, you shall not sleep in his pledge. 

13 You shall restore to him the pledge as the sun sets, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you. And it shall be righteousness for you before the LORD your God. (خر 22:26; أي 29:13; أي 31:20; مز 112:9; دا 4:27; دا 6:25) 

14 “You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns. (لا 25:39; ملا 3:5) 

15 You shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets (for he is poor and counts on it), lest he cry against you to the LORD, and you be guilty of sin. (لا 19:13; تث 15:9; إر 22:13; يع 5:4) 

16 “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin. (2مل 14:6; 2أخ 25:4; إر 31:29; إر 31:30; حز 18:20) 

17 “You shall not pervert the justice due to the sojourner or to the fatherless, or take a widow’s garment in pledge, (خر 10:18; خر 22:21; خر 22:22; خر 23:6; خر 27:19; أي 24:3; إش 1:23; إر 5:28; إر 16:19) 

18 but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this. (تث 5:15) 

19 “When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. (لا 19:9; لا 23:22; تث 14:29) 

20 When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over them again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. 

21 When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not strip it afterward. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. 

22 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I command you to do this. (تث 18:1)
