1 لَا يَرِثُ الْكَهَنَةُ اللّاوِيُّونَ وَلا أَحَدٌ مِنْ سِبْطِ لاوِي مِلْكاً أَو نَصِيباً مَعَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ مِنْ مُحْرَقَاتِ الرَّبِّ وَنَصِيبِهِ. 2 لَا يَرِثُونَ مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِمْ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ هُوَ نَصِيبُهُمْ كَمَا وَعَدَهُمْ. 3 وَهَذَا هُوَ حَقُّ الْكَهَنَةِ مِنَ الذَّبَائِحِ الَّتِي يُقَرِّبُهَا الشَّعْبُ بَقَراً كَانَتْ أَمْ غَنَماً: يُقَدِّمُ الشَّعْبُ لِلْكَاهِنِ السَّاعِدَ وَالْفَكَّيْنِ وَالْكِرْشَ، 4 كَمَا تُعْطُونَهُ أَوَّلَ حَصَادِ قَمْحِكُمْ وَخَمْرِكُمْ وَزَيْتِكُمْ، وَأَوَّلَ جَزَازِ غَنَمِكُمْ، 5 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمُ اخْتَارَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ جَمِيعِ أَسْبَاطِكُمْ لِيَقُومَ بِالْخِدْمَةِ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ، هُوَ وَأَبْنَاؤُهُ كُلَّ الأَيَّامِ. 6 وَإذَا أَقْبَلَ لاوِيٌّ مِنْ إِحْدَى مُدُنِكُمْ مِنْ أَيِّ مَكَانٍ فِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، حَيْثُ هُوَ مُتَغَرِّبٌ، لِيَمْكُثَ بِرَغْبَةٍ قَلْبِيَّةٍ صَادِقَةٍ فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ، 7 فَإِنَّ مِنْ حَقِّهِ أَنْ يَخْدُمَ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ كَبَقِيَّةِ إِخْوَتِهِ اللّاوِيِّينَ الْمَاثِلِينَ هُنَاكَ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ. 8 وَمِنْ حَقِّهِ أَيْضاً أَنْ يَنَالَ نَصِيباً مُتَسَاوِياً مِنَ التَّقْدِمَاتِ، عَلاوَةً عَلَى مَا يَكُونُ قَدْ حَصَلَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْعِ مَا وَرِثَهُ عَنْ آبَائِهِ.

9 وَمَتَى دَخَلْتُمْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي يُوَرِّثُكُمْ إِيَّاهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، فَلا تَتَعَلَّمُوا مُمَارَسَةَ رَجَاسَاتِ تِلْكَ الأُمَمِ الْمُقِيمَةِ هُنَاكَ. 10 وَلا يَكُنْ بَيْنَكُمْ مَنْ يُجِيزُ ابْنَهُ أَو ابْنَتَهُ فِي النَّارِ، وَلا يَتَعَاطَى الْعِرَافَةَ وَلا الْعِيَافَةَ وَلا مُمَارَسَةَ الْفَأْلِ أَوِ السِّحْرِ، 11 وَلا مَنْ يَرْقِي رُقْيَةً أَوْ يُشَاوِرُ جَانّاً أَوْ وَسِيطاً، أَوْ يَسْتَحْضِرُ أَرْوَاحَ الْمَوْتَى لِيُسَائِلَهُمْ، 12 لأَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَتَعَاطَى ذَلِكَ مَكْرُوهٌ لَدَى الرَّبِّ. فَبِسَبَبِ هَذِهِ الأَرْجَاسِ عَزَمَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ عَلَى طَرْدِ هَذِهِ الأُمَمِ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ، 13 فَكُونُوا كَامِلِينَ لَدَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ.

النبي

14 إِنَّ تِلْكَ الأُمَمَ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ تَسْتَأْصِلُونَهَا تُصَدِّقُ مُمَارَسَةَ الْمُشَعْوِذِينَ وَالْعَرَّافِينَ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ يَحْظُرُ عَلَيْكُمْ ذَلِكَ.

الوعد بنبي بعد موسى

15 سَيُقِيمُ الرَّبُّ فِيكُمْ نَبِيًّا مِثْلِي مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، لَهُ تَسْمَعُونَ، 16 فَقَدِ اسْتَجَابَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ مَا طَلَبْتُمْ مِنْهُ فِي حُورِيبَ فِي يَوْمِ الاجْتِمَاعِ عِنْدَمَا قُلْتُمْ: لَا نَعُودُ نَسْمَعُ صَوْتَ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا، وَلا نَرَى النَّارَ الْعَظِيمَةَ أَيْضاً لِئَلّا نَمُوتَ 17 فَقَالَ لِيَ الرَّبُّ: لَقَدْ أَصَابُوا فِي مَا تَكَلَّمُوا. 18 لِهَذَا أُقِيمُ لَهُمْ نَبِيًّا مِنْ بَيْنِ إِخْوَتِهِمْ مِثْلَكَ، وَأَضَعُ كَلامِي فِي فَمِهِ، فَيُخَاطِبُهُمْ بِكُلِّ مَا آمُرُهُ بِهِ. 19 فَيَكُونُ أَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَعْصَى كَلامِي الَّذِي يَتَكَلَّمُ بِهِ بِاسْمِي، فَأَنَا أُحَاسِبُهُ. 20 وَأَمَّا النَّبِيُّ الَّذِي يَتَجَبَّرُ فَيَنْطِقُ بِاسْمِي بِمَا لَمْ آمُرْهُ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ، أَوْ يَتَنَبَّأُ بِاسمِ آلِهَةٍ أُخْرَى، فَإِنَّهُ حَتْماً يَمُوتُ. 21 وَإِنْ سَأَلْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ: كَيْفَ نُمَيِّزُ الْكَلامَ الَّذِي لَمْ يَصْدُرْ عَنِ الرَّبِّ؟ 22 فَإِنَّ كُلَّ مَا يَتَنَبَّأُ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ وَلا يَتَحَقَّقُ يَكُونُ ادِّعَاءً مِنْهُ لَمْ يَنْطِقْ بِهِ الرَّبُّ، بَلْ بِطُغْيَانٍ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ فَلا تَخَفْ مِنْهُ.

Diritti dei sacerdoti e dei Leviti

1 «I sacerdoti levitici, tutta quanta la tribù di Levi, non avranno parte né eredità con Israele; vivranno dei sacrifici consumati dal fuoco per il Signore e dell’eredità di lui. 2 Non avranno, dico, alcuna eredità tra i loro fratelli; il Signore è la loro eredità, come egli ha detto loro. 3 Questo sarà il diritto dei sacerdoti sul popolo, su quelli che offriranno come sacrificio sia un bue sia una pecora: essi daranno al sacerdote la spalla, le mascelle e lo stomaco. 4 Gli darai le primizie del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto e del tuo olio e le primizie della tosatura delle tue pecore, 5 poiché il Signore, il tuo Dio, lo ha scelto fra tutte le tue tribù, perché egli e i suoi figli si presentino a fare il servizio nel nome del Signore, per sempre. 6 Quando un Levita, partendo da una qualunque delle città dove soggiorna in Israele, verrà, seguendo il pieno desiderio del suo cuore, al luogo che il Signore avrà scelto 7 e farà il servizio nel nome del Signore tuo Dio, come tutti i suoi fratelli Leviti che stanno lì davanti al Signore, 8 egli riceverà per il suo mantenimento una parte uguale a quella degli altri, oltre a quello che gli può venire dalla vendita del suo patrimonio.

La divinazione e la magia

9 «Quando sarai entrato nel paese che il Signore, il tuo Dio, ti dà, non imparerai a imitare le pratiche abominevoli di quelle nazioni. 10 Non si trovi in mezzo a te chi fa passare suo figlio o sua figlia per il fuoco, né chi esercita la divinazione, né astrologo, né chi predice il futuro, né mago, 11 né incantatore, né chi consulta gli spiriti, né chi dice la fortuna, né negromante, 12 perché il Signore detesta chiunque fa queste cose; a motivo di queste pratiche abominevoli, il Signore, il tuo Dio, sta per scacciare quelle nazioni dinanzi a te. 13 Tu sarai integro verso il Signore Dio tuo; 14 poiché quelle nazioni, che tu spodesterai, danno ascolto agli astrologi e agli indovini. A te, invece, il Signore, il tuo Dio, non lo permette.

I profeti

15 «Per te il Signore, il tuo Dio, farà sorgere in mezzo a te, fra i tuoi fratelli, un profeta come me; a lui darete ascolto! 16 Avrai così quello che chiedesti al Signore tuo Dio, in Oreb, il giorno dell’assemblea, quando dicesti: “Che io non oda più la voce del Signore mio Dio, e non veda più questo gran fuoco, affinché io non muoia”. 17 Il Signore mi disse: “Quello che hanno detto, sta bene; 18 io farò sorgere per loro un profeta come te in mezzo ai loro fratelli, e metterò le mie parole nella sua bocca ed egli dirà loro tutto quello che io gli comanderò. 19 Avverrà che, se qualcuno non darà ascolto alle mie parole che egli dirà in mio nome, io gliene domanderò conto. 20 Ma il profeta che avrà la presunzione di dire in mio nome qualcosa che io non gli ho comandato di dire o che parlerà in nome di altri dèi, quel profeta sarà messo a morte”. 21 Se tu dici in cuor tuo: “Come riconosceremo la parola che il Signore non ha detta?”, 22 quando il profeta parlerà in nome del Signore e la cosa non succede e non si avvera, quella sarà una parola che il Signore non ha detta; il profeta l’ha detta per presunzione; tu non lo temere.

Provision for Priests and Levites

2 They shall have no inheritance among their brothers; the LORD is their inheritance, as he promised them. 3 And this shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those offering a sacrifice, whether an ox or a sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the two cheeks and the stomach. Abominable Practices

9 “When you come into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. (لا 18:26; تث 12:29) 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering,^[5] anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer (خر 22:18; لا 18:21; لا 19:26; 2مل 17:17)

11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, (لا 19:31; 1صم 28:7) 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you. (تث 9:4; تث 22:5; تث 25:16) 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God, 14 for these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to fortune-tellers and to diviners. But as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you to do this.

A New Prophet like Moses

19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him. (إر 29:19; إر 35:13; أع 3:23) 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or^[6] who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ (تث 13:5) 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously.
