1 أَنْتُمْ أَبْنَاءُ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، فَلا تُجَرِّحُوا أَجْسَادَكُمْ، وَلا تَحْلِقُوا مُقَدِّمَةَ رُؤُوسِكُمْ حُزْناً عَلَى مَيْتٍ، 

2 لأَنَّكُمْ شَعْبٌ مُقَدَّسٌ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، وَقَدِ اخْتَارَكُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ شُعُوبِ الأَرْضِ كَافَّةً لِتَكُونُوا لَهُ شَعْباً خَاصّاً. 

3 لَا تَأْكُلُوا شَيْئاً رِجْساً. 

4 أَمَّا الْبَهَائِمُ الَّتِي تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهَا فَهِيَ: الْبَقَرُ وَالضَّأْنُ وَالْمَعْزُ 

5 وَالأُيَّلُ وَالظِّبَاءُ وَبَعْضُ أَنْوَاعِ الْوُعُولِ وَالْغُزْلانِ الْبَيْضَاءِ، وَالْبَقَرُ الْوَحْشِيُّ، 

6 وَكُلُّ بَهِيمَةٍ ذَاتِ ظِلْفٍ مَشْقُوقٍ وَمُجْتَرَّةٍ تَأْكُلُونَهَا. 

7 وَلَكِنْ لَا تَأْكُلُوا الْحَيَوَانَاتِ الْمُجْتَرَّةَ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقَةِ الظِّلْفِ، كَالْجَمَلِ وَالأَرْنَبِ وَالْوَبَرِ، فَإِنَّهَا تَجْتَرُّ وَلَكِنَّهَا غَيْرُ مَشْقُوقَةِ الظِّلْفِ، لِذَلِكَ هِيَ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ، 

8 وَالْخِنْزِيرِ لأَنَّهُ مَشْقُوقُ الظِّلْفِ وَلَكِنَّهُ غَيْرُ مُجْتَرٍّ، لِذَلِكَ فَهُوَ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ. فَلا تَأْكُلُوا مِنْ لَحْمِ جَمِيعِ هَذِهِ الْبَهَائِمِ وَلا تَلْمَسُوا جُثَثَهَا. 

9 أَمَّا مَا يَعِيشُ فِي الْمَاءِ فَكُلُوا مِنْ كُلِّ مَالَهُ زَعَانِفُ وَقُشُورٌ، 

10 وَلَكِنْ لَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَيْسَ لَهُ زَعَانِفُ وَقُشُورٌ لأَنَّهُ نَجِسٌ لَكُمْ. 

11 كُلُوا مِنْ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ طَاهِرٍ، 

12 وَلَكِنْ مِنَ الطُّيُورِ التَّالِيَةِ لَا تَأْكُلُوا: النَّسْرَ وَالأَنُوقَ وَالْعُقَابَ 

13 وَالْحِدَأَةَ وَالْبَاشِقَ وَالشَّاهِينَ بِمُخْتَلَفِ أَنْوَاعِهِ، 

14 وَجَمِيعَ أَصْنَافِ الْغِرْبَانِ، 

15 وَالنَّعَامَةَ وَالظَّلِيمَ وَالسَّأَفَ وَكُلَّ أَجْنَاسِ الْبَازِ، 

16 وَالْبُومَ وَالْكُرْكِيَّ وَالْبَجَعَ، 

17 وَالْقُوقَ وَالرَّخَمَ وَالْغَوَّاصَ، 

18 وَاللَّقْلَقَ وَالْبَبْغَاءَ عَلَى مُخْتَلَفِ أَنْوَاعِهِ، وَالْهُدْهُدَ وَالْخُفَّاشَ. 

19 وَكُلُّ حَشَرَةٍ تَطِيرُ، هِيَ نَجِسَةٌ لَكُمْ. لَا تَأْكُلُوهَا. 

20 وَلَكِنْ كُلُوا مِنْ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ طَاهِرٍ. 

21 لَا تَأْكُلُوا جُثَّةَ حَيَوَانٍ مَيْتٍ، بَلْ أَعْطُوهَا لِلْغَرِيبِ الْمُقِيمِ فِي جِوَارِكُمْ فَيَأْكُلَهَا أَوْ يَبِيعَهَا لأَجْنَبِيٍّ، لأَنَّكُمْ شَعْبٌ مُقَدَّسٌ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ. لَا تَطْبُخُوا جَدْياً بِلَبَنِ أُمِّهِ. 

العشور

22 قَدِّمُوا عُشُورَ مَحَاصِيلِكُمُ الَّتِي تُغِلُّهَا حُقُولُكُمْ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ، 

23 وَكُلُوا عُشُورَ قَمْحِكُمْ وَخَمْرِكُمْ وَزُيُوتِكُمْ وَأَبْكَارَ بَقَرِكُمْ وَغَنَمِكُمْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ، فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ لِيُحِلَّ اسْمَهُ فِيهِ، لِتَتَعَلَّمُوا أَنْ تَتَّقُوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ دَائِماً. 

24 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ كَانَتِ الطَّرِيقُ إِلَى مَوْضِعِ سُكْنَى الرَّبِّ طَوِيلَةً، بِحَيْثُ يَتَعَذَّرُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَمْلُ عُشُورِكُمْ إِلَيْهِ، وَإذَا كَانَ الْمَكَانُ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ لِيَجْعَلَ اسْمَهُ فِيهِ بَعِيداً عَلَيْكُمْ، وَكَانَ الرَّبُّ قَدْ بَارَكَكُمْ، 

25 فَبِيعُوا عُشُورَ غَلَّاتِكُمْ بِفِضَّةٍ وصُرُّوهَا وَامْضُوا إِلَى الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، 

26 وَأَنْفِقُوا الْفِضَّةَ عَلَى مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ أَنْفُسُكُمْ مِنْ بَقَرٍ وَغَنَمٍ وَخَمْرٍ وَمُسْكِرٍ وَكُلِّ مَا تَرْغَبُونَ فِيهِ، وَاحْتَفِلُوا أَنْتُمْ وَأَهْلُ بُيُوتِكُمْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ. 

27 وَلا تُهْمِلُوا اللّاوِيِّينَ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي مُدُنِكُمْ لأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرِثُوا مِلْكاً أَوْ نَصِيباً مَعَكُمْ. 

28 وَفِي نِهَايَةِ كُلِّ ثَلاثِ سِنِينَ، أَخْرِجُوا عُشُورَ مَحْصُولِ السَّنَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ وَاخْزُنُوهَا فِي مُدُنِكُمْ، 

29 فَيُقْبِلَ اللّاوِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَرِثُوا مِلْكاً أَوْ نَصِيباً مَعَكُمْ، وَالْغَرِيبُ وَالْيَتِيمُ وَالأَرْمَلَةُ، الْمُقِيمُونَ فِي مُدُنِكُمْ فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْبَعُونَ لِيُبَارِكَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ مَا تُنْتِجُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ.

1 «Voi siete figli per il Signore vostro Dio; non vi fate incisioni addosso e non vi radete tra gli occhi per un morto, 

2 poiché tu sei un popolo consacrato al Signore tuo Dio. Il Signore ti ha scelto, perché tu sia il suo popolo prediletto fra tutti i popoli che sono sulla faccia della terra. 

3 Non mangerai nessuna cosa abominevole. 

4 Questi sono gli animali che potrete mangiare: il bue, la pecora e la capra; 

5 il cervo, la gazzella, il daino, lo stambecco, l’antilope, il capriolo e il camoscio. 

6 Potrete mangiare ogni animale che ha l’unghia spartita, il piede forcuto e che rumina. 

7 Ma non mangerete quelli che ruminano soltanto, o che hanno soltanto l’unghia spartita e il piede forcuto, e sono: il cammello, la lepre, l’irace, che ruminano ma non hanno l’unghia spartita; considerateli impuri; 

8 anche il porco, che ha l’unghia spartita ma non rumina; lo considererete impuro. Non mangerete la loro carne e non toccherete i loro corpi morti. 

9 Fra tutti gli animali che vivono nelle acque, potrete mangiare tutti quelli che hanno pinne e squame; 

10 ma non mangerete nessuno di quelli che non hanno pinne e squame; considerateli impuri. 

11 Potrete mangiare qualunque uccello puro; 

12 ma ecco quelli che non dovete mangiare: l’aquila, l’ossìfraga e l’aquila di mare; 

13 il nibbio, il falco e ogni specie di avvoltoio; 

14 ogni specie di corvo; 

15 lo struzzo, il barbagianni, il gabbiano e ogni specie di sparviero; 

16 il gufo, l’ibis, il cigno; 

17 il pellicano, il tùffolo, lo smergo; 

18 la cicogna, ogni specie di airone, l’upupa e il pipistrello. 

19 Considererete impuro ogni insetto alato; non se ne mangerà. 

20 Potrete mangiare ogni volatile puro. 

21 Non mangerete nessuna bestia morta da sé; la darai allo straniero che sarà nelle tue città perché la mangi, o la venderai a qualche estraneo; poiché tu sei un popolo consacrato al Signore tuo Dio. Non farai cuocere il capretto nel latte di sua madre. 

Le decime

22 «Avrete cura di prelevare la decima da tutto quello che produrrà la tua semenza, da quello che ti frutterà il campo ogni anno. 

23 Mangerai, in presenza del Signore tuo Dio, nel luogo che egli avrà scelto come dimora del suo nome, la decima del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto, del tuo olio e i primi parti dei tuoi armenti e delle tue greggi, affinché tu impari a temere sempre il Signore, il tuo Dio. 

24 Ma se il cammino è troppo lungo per te, e tu non puoi trasportare fin là quelle decime, essendo troppo lontano da te il luogo che il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto per stabilirvi il suo nome, perché il Signore, il tuo Dio, ti avrà benedetto, 

25 allora le convertirai in denaro, terrai stretto in mano questo denaro, andrai al luogo che il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto. 

26 Impiegherai quel denaro per comprarti tutto quello che il tuo cuore desidera: buoi, pecore, vino, bevande alcoliche, o qualunque cosa possa piacerti di più; e lì mangerai in presenza del Signore tuo Dio, e ti rallegrerai tu con la tua famiglia. 

27 Non abbandonerai il Levita che abita nelle tue città, poiché non ha parte né eredità con te. 

28 Alla fine di ogni triennio metterai da parte tutte le decime delle tue entrate di quell’anno e le depositerai dentro le tue città; 

29 il Levita, che non ha parte né eredità con te, lo straniero, l’orfano e la vedova che abitano nelle tue città verranno, mangeranno e si sazieranno, affinché il Signore, il tuo Dio, ti benedica in ogni opera a cui porrai mano.

Clean and Unclean Food

1 “You are the sons of the LORD your God. You shall not cut yourselves or make any baldness on your foreheads for the dead. (لا 19:28; إش 1:2; إش 15:2; إش 22:12; حز 7:18; هو 1:10; عا 8:10; يو 1:12; رو 9:8; رو 9:26; غل 3:26) 

2 For you are a people holy to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. (تث 7:6) 

3 “You shall not eat any abomination. (حز 4:14; أع 10:13; أع 10:14) 

4 These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, (لا 11:2) 

5 the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep. 

6 Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof cloven in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. 

7 Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you. (لا 11:5; مز 104:18; أم 30:26) 

8 And the pig, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. (لا 11:26) 

9 “Of all that are in the waters you may eat these: whatever has fins and scales you may eat. 

10 And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you. 

11 “You may eat all clean birds. 

12 But these are the ones that you shall not eat: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the black vulture, 

13 the kite, the falcon of any kind; 

14 every raven of any kind; 

15 the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk of any kind; 

16 the little owl and the short-eared owl, the barn owl 

17 and the tawny owl, the carrion vulture and the cormorant, 

18 the stork, the heron of any kind; the hoopoe and the bat. 

19 And all winged insects are unclean for you; they shall not be eaten. 

20 All clean winged things you may eat. 

21 “You shall not eat anything that has died naturally. You may give it to the sojourner who is within your towns, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk. (خر 23:19; لا 7:24; تث 7:6) 

Tithes

22 “You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year. (عد 18:21) 

23 And before the LORD your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. (تث 4:10; تث 12:6; تث 12:7; تث 15:20; تث 17:19) 

24 And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the LORD your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the LORD your God chooses, to set his name there, (تث 12:21) 

25 then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the LORD your God chooses 

26 and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the LORD your God and rejoice, you and your household. (تث 23:1) 

27 And you shall not neglect the Levite who is within your towns, for he has no portion or inheritance with you. (عد 18:20; تث 12:19) 

28 “At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns. (تث 26:12; عا 4:4) 

29 And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do. (تث 15:10; تث 24:19; تث 27:1; مز 41:1; أم 14:21; أم 19:17; أم 22:9; ملا 3:10)
