1 إِلَيْكُمُ الْفَرَائِضَ وَالأَحْكَامَ الَّتِي عَلَيْكُمْ مُمَارَسَتُهَا فِي الأَرْضِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا لَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ آبَائِكُمْ لِتَرِثُوهَا كُلَّ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِكُمْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ: 

2 دَمِّرُوا جَمِيعَ الأَمَاكِنِ الَّتِي تَرِثُونَهَا، حَيْثُ عَبَدَتِ الأُمَمُ آلِهَتَهَا، سَوَاءٌ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْجِبَالِ الشَّامِخَةِ أَمْ عَلَى التِّلالِ أَمْ تَحْتَ كُلِّ شَجَرَةٍ خَضْرَاءَ، 

3 وَاهْدِمُوا مَذَابِحَهُمْ، وَحَطِّمُوا أَنْصَابَهُمْ، وَأَحْرِقُوا سَوَارِيَهُمْ. فَتِّتُوا تَمَاثِيلَ آلِهَتِهِمْ وَامْحُوا أَسْمَاءَهُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ، 

4 وَلا تُمَارِسُوا أَسَالِيبَهُمْ عِنْدَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ، 

5 بَلِ اطْلُبُوا الْمَكَانَ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ وَسَطَ أَسْبَاطِكُمْ لِيَضَعَ عَلَيْهِ اسْمَهُ، وَيَكُونَ مَقَرَّ سُكْنَاهُ. إِلَيْهِ تَذْهَبُونَ، 

6 وَتُقَدِّمُونَ مُحْرَقَاتِكُمْ وَذَبَائِحَكُمْ وَعُشُورَكُمْ وَتَقْدِمَاتِكُمْ وَنُذُورَكُمْ وَقَرَابِينَكُمُ الطَّوْعِيَّةَ وَأَبْكَارَ بَقَرِكُمْ وَغَنَمِكُمْ، 

7 فَتَأْكُلُونَ هُنَاكَ أَنْتُمْ وَعَائِلاتُكُمْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ، وَتَفْرَحُونَ بِكُلِّ مَا تَمْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِ أَيْدِيكُمْ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ قَدْ بَارَكَكُمْ. 

8 لَا يَصْنَعْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْكُمْ مَا يَسْتَحْسِنُهُ كَمَا هُوَ حَادِثٌ الْيَوْمَ، 

9 لأَنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَدْخُلُوا بَعْدُ إِلَى مَوْضِعِ الرَّاحَةِ وَالْمِيرَاثِ الَّذِي يَهَبُهُ لَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ. 

10 وَلَكِنْ مَتَى اجْتَزْتُمْ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ وَاسْتَوْطَنْتُمُ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا لَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، وَأَرَاحَكُمْ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أَعْدَائِكُمُ الْمُحِيطِينَ بِكُمْ، وَسَكَنْتُمْ آمِنِينَ، 

11 فَاحْمِلُوا جَمِيعَ مَا أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ بِهِ مِنْ مُحْرَقَاتٍ وَذَبَائِحَ وَعُشُورٍ وَتَقْدِمَاتِ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَقَرَابِينَ طَوْعِيَّةٍ، الَّتِي تُنْذِرُونَهَا لِلرَّبِّ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ لِيُحِلَّ فِيهِ اسْمَهُ، 

12 وَهُنَاكَ احْتَفِلُوا أَنْتُمْ وَبَنُوكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَعَبِيدُكُمْ وَإِمَاؤُكُمْ وَاللّاوِيُّ الْمُقِيمُ فِي جِوَارِكُمْ، لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ نَصِيبٌ أَوْ مِيرَاثٌ خَاصٌّ بِهِ. 

13 إِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ تُقَدِّمُوا مُحْرَقَاتِكُمْ فِي أَيِّ مَكَانٍ تَرْغَبُونَ فِيهِ، 

14 إِنَّمَا تُصْعِدُونَ مُحْرَقَاتِكُمْ وَتُمَارِسُونَ مَا أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ بِهِ فِي الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ فِي أَرْضِ أَحَدِ أَسْبَاطِكُمْ. 

15 اذْبَحُوا فِي أَيٍّ مِنْ مُدُنِكُمْ أَيًّا مِنَ الْحَيَوَانَاتِ، وَكُلُوا مِنْ لُحُومِهَا بِقَدْرِ مَا تَشَاؤُونَ كَالظَّبْيِ وَالأُيَّلِ حَسَبَ بَرَكَةِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ. يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا الإِنْسَانُ الطَّاهِرُ وَالنَّجِسُ عَلَى حَدٍّ سَوَاءٍ. 

16 وَأَمَّا الدَّمُ فَلا تَأْكُلُوهُ، بَلِ اسْكُبُوهُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ كَمَا تَسْكُبُونَ الْمَاءَ، 

17 احْذَرُوا أَنْ تَأْكُلُوا فِي مُدُنِكُمْ عُشُورَ قَمْحِكُمْ وَخَمْرِكُمْ وَزَيْتِكُمْ، وَلا أَبْكَارَ بَقَرِكُمْ وَغَنَمِكُمْ، وَلا شَيْئاً مِنْ نُذُورِكُمْ أَوْ قَرَابِينِكُمُ الطَّوْعِيَّةِ وَتَقْدِمَاتِ أَيْدِيكُمْ. 

18 بَلْ تَأْكُلُونَهَا أَنْتُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَعَبِيدُكُمْ وَإِمَاؤُكُمْ وَاللّاوِيُّونَ الْمُقِيمُونَ فِي جِوَارِكُمْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ فِي الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، وَتَحْتَفِلُونَ أَمَامَهُ بِكُلِّ مَا تَمْتَلِكُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ 

19 إِيَّاكُمْ إِهْمَالَ اللّاوِيِّينَ طَوَالَ بَقَائِكُمْ عَلَى أَرْضِكُمْ. 

20 وَإذَا وَسَّعَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ حُدُودَ أَرْضِكُمْ كَمَا وَعَدَكُمْ، وَاشْتَهَتْ أَنْفُسُكُمُ اللَّحْمَ، وَقُلْتُمْ: نَوَدُّ أَكْلَ اللَّحْمِ. فَمِنْ كُلِّ مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ أَنْفُسُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّحْمِ كُلُوا. 

21 وَإذَا كَانَ الْمَوْضِعُ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ لِيَضَعَ فِيهِ اسْمَهُ بَعِيداً عَنْ مَكَانِ سُكْنَى بَعْضِكُمْ، فَاذْبَحُوا مِنْ بَقَرِكُمْ وَغَنَمِكُمُ الَّتِي أَنْعَمَ بِها الرَّبُّ عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ، وَكُلُوا فِي مُدُنِكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ مَا اشْتَهَتْهُ أَنْفُسُكُمْ 

22 كُلُوهُ كَمَا يُؤْكَلُ الظَّبْيُ وَالأُيَّلُ. يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ الإِنْسَانُ الطَّاهِرُ وَالنَّجِسُ عَلَى حَدٍّ سَوَاءٍ. 

23 لَكِنْ إِيَّاكُمْ وَأَكْلَ الدَّمِ، لأَنَّ الدَّمَ هُوَ النَّفْسُ. فَلا تَأْكُلُوا النَّفْسَ مَعَ اللَّحْمِ. 

24 لَا تَأْكُلُوا مِنْهُ بَلِ اسْكُبُوهُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ كَمَا يُسْكَبُ الْمَاءُ. 

25 لَا تَأْكُلُوهُ، لِتَنْعَمُوا أَنْتُمْ وَأَوْلادُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ بِالْخَيْرِ، إِذْ صَنَعْتُمُ الْحَقَّ فِي عَيْنَيِ اللهِ. 

26 أَمَّا مَا تُقَدِّسُونَهُ مِنْ أَشْيَاءَ، وَنُذُورُكُمْ فَتَحْمِلُونَهَا وَتَمْضُونَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ الرَّبُّ 

27 فَتُقَدِّمُونَ مُحْرَقَاتِكُمُ، اللَّحْمَ وَالدَّمَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، فَيُسْكَبُ دَمُهَا عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الرَّبِّ. أَمَّا اللَّحْمُ فَتَأْكُلُونَهُ. 

28 فَاحْفَظُوا وَأَطِيعُوا جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ الْوَصَايَا الَّتِي أَنَا أَوْصِيِكُمْ بِها لِتَتَمَتَّعُوا أَنْتُمْ وَأَوْلادُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ بِالْخَيْرِ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، إِذْ عَمِلْتُمُ الصَّالِحَ وَالْحَقَّ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ. 

29 وَمَتَى اسْتَأْصَلَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمُ الأُمَمَ الَّتِي تُوْشِكُونَ عَلَى غَزْوِهِمْ، وَطَرْدِهِمْ، ثُمَّ وَرِثْتُمُوهُمْ وَاسْتَوْطَنْتُمْ فِي أَرْضِهِمْ، 

30 فَاحْذَرُوا مِنَ الْوُقُوعِ فِي الشَّرَكِ، بِاتِّبَاعِ عِبَادَاتِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ فَنَائِهِمْ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ، وَمِنْ مُمَارَسَةِ مَرَاسِيمِ عِبَادَةِ آلِهَتِهِمْ قَائِلِينَ: كَمَا عَبَدَ هَؤُلاءِ الأُمَمُ آلِهَتَهُمْ هَكَذَا نَفْعَلُ نَحْنُ أَيْضاً. 

31 لَا تَصْنَعْ هَكَذَا لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ، لأَنَّهُمْ قَدِ ارْتَكَبُوا فِي عِبَادَةِ آلِهَتِهِمْ كُلَّ مَا يَمْقُتُهُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الأَرْجَاسِ، إِذْ أَحْرَقُوا بِالنَّارِ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَبَنَاتِهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ آلِهَتِهِمْ، 

32 فَاحْرِصُوا عَلَى طَاعَةِ كُلِّ مَا أُوْصِيكُمْ بِهِ. لَا تَزِيدُوا عَلَيْهِ وَلا تُنْقِصُوا مِنْهُ.

Ordine di servire il Signore nel luogo scelto da lui

1 «Queste sono le leggi e le prescrizioni che avrete cura di osservare nel paese che il Signore, il Dio dei tuoi padri, ti dà, perché tu lo possegga, tutto il tempo che vivrete nel paese. 

2 Distruggerete interamente tutti i luoghi – sugli alti monti, sui colli e sotto ogni albero verdeggiante – dove le nazioni che state per scacciare servono i loro dèi. 

3 Demolirete i loro altari, spezzerete le loro statue, darete alle fiamme i loro idoli di Astarte, abbatterete le immagini scolpite dei loro dèi e farete sparire il loro nome da quei luoghi. 

4 Non farete così riguardo al Signore Dio vostro; 

5 ma lo cercherete nella sua dimora, nel luogo che il Signore, il vostro Dio, avrà scelto fra tutte le vostre tribù, per mettervi il suo nome; là andrete; 

6 là porterete i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime, quello che le vostre mani avranno prelevato, le vostre offerte votive e le vostre offerte volontarie, i primogeniti dei vostri armenti e delle vostre greggi; 

7 là mangerete davanti al Signore Dio vostro, e vi rallegrerete, voi e le vostre famiglie, godendo di tutto ciò a cui avrete messo mano e con cui il Signore, il vostro Dio, vi avrà benedetti. 

8 Non farete come facciamo oggi qui, dove ognuno fa tutto quello che gli pare bene, 

9 perché finora non siete giunti al riposo e all’eredità che il Signore, il vostro Dio, vi dà. 

10 Voi dunque passerete il Giordano e abiterete il paese che il Signore, il vostro Dio, vi dà in eredità; avrete pace da tutti i vostri nemici che vi circondano e vivrete nella sicurezza. 

11 Allora porterete al luogo che il Signore, il vostro Dio, avrà scelto per dimora del suo nome, tutto quello che vi comando: i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime, quello che le vostre mani avranno prelevato, e tutte le offerte scelte che avrete consacrato per voto al Signore. 

12 Vi rallegrerete davanti al Signore vostro Dio, voi, i vostri figli, le vostre figlie, i vostri servi, le vostre serve e il Levita che abiterà nelle vostre città; poiché egli non ha né parte né proprietà tra di voi. 

13 Allora ti guarderai bene dall’offrire i tuoi olocausti in un luogo qualsiasi; 

14 ma offrirai i tuoi olocausti nel luogo che il Signore avrà scelto in una delle tue tribù; là farai tutto quello che ti comando. 

15 Però potrai a tuo piacimento scannare animali e mangiarne la carne in tutte le tue città, secondo la benedizione che il Signore ti avrà elargita; tanto colui che sarà impuro come colui che sarà puro ne potranno mangiare, come si fa della carne di gazzella e di cervo, 

16 ma non ne mangerete il sangue; lo spargerai per terra come acqua. 

17 Non potrai mangiare entro le tue città le decime del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto, del tuo olio, né i primogeniti dei tuoi armenti e delle tue greggi, né ciò che avrai consacrato per voto, né le tue offerte volontarie, né quel che le tue mani avranno prelevato; 

18 mangerai queste cose davanti al Signore tuo Dio, nel luogo che il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto, tu, tuo figlio, tua figlia, il tuo servo, la tua serva e il Levita che abita nelle tue città; e ti rallegrerai, davanti al Signore Dio tuo, di ogni cosa a cui avrai messo mano. 

19 Guàrdati bene, tutto il tempo che vivrai nel tuo paese, dal trascurare il Levita. 

20 Quando il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà ampliato i tuoi confini, come ti ha promesso, e tu, desiderando mangiare carne, dirai: “Vorrei mangiare carne!”, allora potrai mangiarne a tuo piacimento. 

21 Se il luogo che il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto per porvi il suo nome sarà lontano da te, potrai scannare del bestiame grosso e minuto che il Signore ti avrà dato, come ti ho prescritto; e potrai mangiarne a piacimento entro le tue città. 

22 Soltanto, ne mangerai come si mangia la carne di gazzella e di cervo; ne potrà mangiare tanto chi sarà impuro quanto chi sarà puro; 

23 ma guàrdati assolutamente dal mangiarne il sangue, perché il sangue è la vita, e tu non mangerai la vita insieme con la carne. 

24 Non lo mangerai; lo spargerai per terra come acqua. 

25 Non lo mangerai affinché tu sia felice, e i tuoi figli dopo di te, quando avrai fatto ciò che è giusto agli occhi del Signore. 

26 Ma quanto alle cose che avrai consacrato o promesso per voto, le prenderai e andrai al luogo che il Signore avrà scelto, 

27 e offrirai i tuoi olocausti, la carne e il sangue, sull’altare del Signore tuo Dio; e il sangue delle altre tue vittime dovrà essere sparso sull’altare del Signore tuo Dio, e tu mangerai la carne. 

28 Osserva e ascolta tutte queste cose che ti comando, affinché tu sia felice, e i tuoi figli dopo di te, quando avrai fatto ciò che è bene e giusto agli occhi del Signore tuo Dio. 

29 Quando il Signore, il tuo Dio, avrà sterminato davanti a te le nazioni che tu stai andando a spodestare, e quando le avrai spodestate e ti sarai stabilito nel loro paese, 

30 guàrdati bene dal cadere nel laccio seguendo il loro esempio, dopo che saranno state distrutte davanti a te, e dall’informarti sui loro dèi, dicendo: “Come servivano i loro dèi queste nazioni? Anch’io voglio fare lo stesso”. 

31 Non farai così riguardo al Signore tuo Dio, poiché esse praticavano verso i loro dèi tutto ciò che è abominevole per il Signore e che egli detesta; davano perfino alle fiamme i loro figli e le loro figlie, in onore dei loro dèi. 

32 Avrete cura di mettere in pratica tutte le cose che vi comando; non vi aggiungerai nulla e nulla ne toglierai.

The Lord’s Chosen Place of Worship

1 “These are the statutes and rules that you shall be careful to do in the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. (تث 4:10; تث 6:1) 

2 You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. (خر 34:13; تث 7:5; 1مل 14:23; 2مل 16:4; 2مل 17:10; إر 3:6) 

3 You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and destroy their name out of that place. (تث 16:21; تث 16:22; صف 1:4; زك 13:2) 

4 You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way. (تث 12:31) 

5 But you shall seek the place that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go, (تث 16:2; تث 26:2; يش 18:1; 1مل 8:29; 2أخ 7:12) 

6 and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. (تث 14:22; تث 14:23; تث 15:19; تث 15:20) 

7 And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the LORD your God has blessed you. (لا 23:40; تث 14:23; تث 14:26; تث 15:20; تث 16:11; تث 16:14; تث 16:15; تث 26:11; تث 27:7; تث 28:8) 

8 “You shall not do according to all that we are doing here today, everyone doing whatever is right in his own eyes, (قض 17:6; قض 21:25) 

9 for you have not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you. (1مل 8:56; مز 95:11; عب 4:8) 

10 But when you go over the Jordan and live in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and when he gives you rest from all your enemies around, so that you live in safety, (تث 11:31; تث 25:19; يش 23:1; 2صم 7:1; 1مل 5:4) 

11 then to the place that the LORD your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, and all your finest vow offerings that you vow to the LORD. (تث 5:1; تث 6:1) 

12 And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male servants and your female servants, and the Levite that is within your towns, since he has no portion or inheritance with you. (عد 18:20; تث 7:1) 

13 Take care that you do not offer your burnt offerings at any place that you see, (لا 17:3; لا 17:4; 1مل 12:28; 1مل 12:33) 

14 but at the place that the LORD will choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I am commanding you. (تث 5:1) 

15 “However, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your towns, as much as you desire, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and as of the deer. (تث 14:5; تث 15:22; تث 16:17) 

16 Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth like water. (لا 3:17) 

17 You may not eat within your towns the tithe of your grain or of your wine or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, or any of your vow offerings that you vow, or your freewill offerings or the contribution that you present, (تث 6:1) 

18 but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place that the LORD your God will choose, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your towns. And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you undertake. (تث 5:1; تث 7:1) 

19 Take care that you do not neglect the Levite as long as you live in your land. (تث 14:27; 2أخ 31:4) 

20 “When the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as he has promised you, and you say, ‘I will eat meat,’ because you crave meat, you may eat meat whenever you desire. (تك 28:14; خر 34:24; تث 11:24; تث 19:8; تث 19:9) 

21 If the place that the LORD your God will choose to put his name there is too far from you, then you may kill any of your herd or your flock, which the LORD has given you, as I have commanded you, and you may eat within your towns whenever you desire. (تث 5:1; تث 12:15) 

22 Just as the gazelle or the deer is eaten, so you may eat of it. The unclean and the clean alike may eat of it. (تث 14:5; تث 15:22) 

23 Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life, and you shall not eat the life with the flesh. (تك 9:4; لا 3:17) 

24 You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the earth like water. 

25 You shall not eat it, that all may go well with you and with your children after you, when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD. (خر 15:26; تث 4:40; تث 6:18; تث 13:18; 1مل 11:38; جا 8:12; إش 3:10) 

26 But the holy things that are due from you, and your vow offerings, you shall take, and you shall go to the place that the LORD will choose, (عد 5:9; عد 5:10; عد 18:19; تث 21:1; 1صم 1:21) 

27 and offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of the LORD your God. The blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the LORD your God, but the flesh you may eat. (لا 1:5; لا 1:9; لا 1:13; لا 17:11) 

28 Be careful to obey all these words that I command you, that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God. (تث 25:1) 

Warning Against Idolatry

29 “When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, (تث 19:1; يش 23:4; يش 23:5) 

30 take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ (تث 7:16)
