Erstes Buch (Psalm 1-41)

1 Wohl dem, der nicht wandelt im Rat der Gottlosen und nicht tritt auf den Weg der Sünder, noch sitzt im Kreise der Spötter, 

2 vielmehr Gefallen hat am Gesetz des HERRN und sinnt über sein Gesetz bei Tag und bei Nacht! 

3 Der gleicht einem Baum, gepflanzt an Wasserbächen, der seine Früchte bringt zu rechter Zeit und dessen Laub nicht welkt; und alles, was er beginnt, das gelingt. 

4 Nicht also die Gottlosen: nein, sie gleichen der Spreu, die der Wind verweht. 

5 Darum werden die Gottlosen nicht im Gericht bestehn und die Sünder nicht in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. 

6 Denn es kennt der HERR den Weg der Gerechten; doch der Gottlosen Weg führt ins Verderben.

The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (Hi 21,16; Ps 26,4; Ps 107,32; Spr 1,10; Spr 1,22; Spr 3,34; Spr 4,14; Spr 19,29; Spr 21,24; Spr 29,8; Jes 28,14; Jer 15,17) 

2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Jos 1,8; Ps 112,1; Ps 119,1; Ps 119,35; Ps 119,47; Ps 119,92; Ps 119,97) 

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (1Mo 39,3; 1Mo 39,23; 4Mo 24,6; Hi 29,19; Ps 46,4; Ps 128,2; Jes 3,10; Jes 34,4; Jer 17,8; Hes 19,10; Hes 47,12) 

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (Hi 21,18) 

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; (Ps 5,5; Ps 76,7; Hes 13,9; Nah 1,6; Lk 21,36; Eph 6,13) 

6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. (Ps 31,7; Ps 37,5; Ps 37,18; Ps 144,3; Nah 1,7; Joh 10,14; 2Tim 2,19)
