1In dem Jahr, als der König Usija starb, sah ich den Herrn sitzen auf einem hohen und erhabenen Thron und sein Saum füllte den Tempel. (1Kön 22,19; 2Chr 26,22; Jes 57,15)2Serafim standen über ihm; ein jeder hatte sechs Flügel: Mit zweien deckten sie ihr Antlitz, mit zweien deckten sie ihre Füße und mit zweien flogen sie.3Und einer rief zum andern und sprach: Heilig, heilig, heilig ist der HERR Zebaoth, alle Lande sind seiner Ehre voll! (Ps 99,3; Ps 99,5; Ps 99,9; Offb 4,8)4Und die Schwellen bebten von der Stimme ihres Rufens und das Haus ward voll Rauch. (Hes 10,4; Offb 15,8)5Da sprach ich: Weh mir, ich vergehe! Denn ich bin unreiner Lippen und wohne unter einem Volk von unreinen Lippen; denn ich habe den König, den HERRN Zebaoth, gesehen mit meinen Augen. (2Mo 33,20; Jes 24,16)6Da flog einer der Serafim zu mir und hatte eine glühende Kohle in der Hand, die er mit der Zange vom Altar nahm,7und rührte meinen Mund an und sprach: Siehe, hiermit sind deine Lippen berührt, dass deine Schuld von dir genommen werde und deine Sünde gesühnt sei.8Und ich hörte die Stimme des Herrn, wie er sprach: Wen soll ich senden? Wer will unser Bote sein? Ich aber sprach: Hier bin ich, sende mich!9Und er sprach: Geh hin und sprich zu diesem Volk: Höret und verstehet’s nicht; sehet und merket’s nicht! (Jes 29,9; Mt 13,11; Apg 28,26)10Verfette das Herz dieses Volks und ihre Ohren verschließe und ihre Augen verklebe, dass sie nicht sehen mit ihren Augen noch hören mit ihren Ohren noch verstehen mit ihrem Herzen und sich nicht bekehren und genesen. (5Mo 29,3; Jes 32,3; Jes 44,18; Joh 12,40; Röm 11,8)11Ich aber sprach: Herr, wie lange? Er sprach: Bis die Städte wüst werden, ohne Einwohner, und die Häuser ohne Menschen und das Feld ganz wüst daliegt. (Jes 5,9)12Denn der HERR wird die Menschen weit wegführen, sodass das Land sehr verlassen sein wird.13Auch wenn nur der zehnte Teil darin bleibt, so wird es abermals kahl gefressen werden, doch wie bei einer Terebinthe oder Eiche, von denen beim Fällen noch ein Stumpf bleibt. Ein heiliger Same wird solcher Stumpf sein. (Esr 9,2; Jes 4,3; Jes 10,20)

И тогда я воскликнул:5– Горе мне! Я погиб! Я человек с нечистыми устами, и живу среди народа с нечистыми устами, а глаза мои видели Царя, Вечного, Повелителя Сил.6Тогда один из серафимов подлетел ко мне, держа горящий уголь, который он взял щипцами с жертвенника.7Он коснулся им моих уст и сказал: – Вот, это прикоснулось к твоим устам; твоя вина снята, и твой грех очищен.8Затем я услышал голос Владыки, говорящего: – Кого Мне послать? И кто пойдёт для Нас? И я сказал: – Вот я. Пошли меня!9Он сказал: – Пойди и скажи этому народу: «Слушать слушайте, но не понимайте, смотреть смотрите, но не разумейте».10Ожесточи сердце этого народа, закрой их уши и сомкни им глаза, чтобы они не смогли увидеть глазами, услышать ушами и понять сердцем, чтобы не обратились и не получили исцеление.11Тогда я спросил: – Надолго ли Ты отправляешь меня, Владыка? И Он ответил: – Пока города не лягут руинами и не останутся без жителей; пока дома не будут брошены, и поля не будут опустошены и разграблены;12пока Вечный не изгонит всех, и страна не будет совершенно заброшена.13И пусть в ней останется десятая часть её жителей, она будет снова опустошена. Но как от теревинфа[3] и от дуба остаётся корень, когда их срубят, так и оставшийся святой народ, словно корень, породит новую жизнь.

1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.9And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.11Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,12And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.13But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
