Psalm 22

1 To the choirmaster: according to The Doe of the Dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? (Job 3:24; Ps 22:11; Ps 32:3; Ps 38:8; Isa 59:11; Mt 27:46; Mr 15:34; Heb 5:7)2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. (Ps 88:1)3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises[1] of Israel. (Le 19:2; Ps 9:11; Ps 9:14; Ps 65:1; Ps 80:1; Ps 99:1; Ps 102:21; Ps 147:12)4 In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them.5 To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame. You have rescued[3] me from the horns of the wild oxen! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! (Ps 69:32; Isa 25:6; Isa 65:13; Joh 6:51)27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. (Ps 2:8; Ps 67:7; Ps 96:7)28 For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. (Ps 47:8; Ob 1:21; Zec 14:9)29 All the prosperous of the earth eat and worship; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, even the one who could not keep himself alive.
