(Apg 13,24)5Und es ging zu ihm hinaus das ganze jüdische Land und alle Einwohner Jerusalems, und sie wurden im Jordanfluss von ihm getauft, indem sie ihre Sünden bekannten. (Joh 3,23)6Und Johannes war mit Kamelhaaren und einem ledernen Gürtel um seine Lende bekleidet; und er aß Heuschrecken und wilden Honig. (2Kön 1,8)7Und er predigte und sagte: Nach mir kommt der, der stärker ist als ich; ich bin nicht würdig, ⟨ihm⟩ gebückt den Riemen seiner Sandalen zu lösen. (Apg 13,25)8Ich habe euch mit[5] Wasser getauft, er aber wird euch mit[6] Heiligem Geist taufen. (Apg 1,5)
Die Taufe und Versuchung Jesu
9Und es geschah in jenen Tagen: Jesus kam von Nazareth in Galiläa und wurde von Johannes im Jordan getauft. (Mt 2,22; Mt 3,13; Lk 3,21; Joh 1,29)10Und sobald er aus dem Wasser heraufstieg, sah er die Himmel sich teilen und den Geist wie eine Taube auf ihn herabkommen.11Und eine Stimme kam aus den Himmeln: Du bist mein geliebter Sohn, an dir habe ich Wohlgefallen gefunden. (Mt 4,1; Mk 9,7; Lk 4,1; Joh 12,28; Eph 1,6)12Und sogleich treibt ihn der Geist in die Wüste hinaus.13Und er war vierzig Tage in der Wüste und wurde von dem Satan versucht; und er war unter den wilden Tieren, und die Engel dienten ihm. Bußpredigt in Galiläa – Die ersten Jünger
14Und nachdem Johannes überliefert war, kam Jesus nach Galiläa und predigte das Evangelium Gottes (Mt 4,12; Mk 6,17; Lk 4,14; Lk 5,1; Lk 8,1; Joh 3,24; Hebr 2,3)15und sprach: Die Zeit ist erfüllt, und das Reich[7] Gottes ist nahe gekommen. Tut Buße und glaubt an das Evangelium! (Mt 3,2; Gal 4,4)16Und als er am See von Galiläa entlangging, sah er Simon und Andreas, Simons Bruder, im See die Netze auswerfen, denn sie waren Fischer.17Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Kommt mir nach, und ich werde euch zu Menschenfischern machen[8]! (Mk 2,14)18Und sogleich verließen sie die Netze und folgten ihm nach. (Mk 10,28)19Und als er ein wenig weiterging, sah er Jakobus, den ⟨Sohn⟩ des Zebedäus, und seinen Bruder Johannes, auch sie im Boot, wie sie die Netze ausbesserten;20und sogleich rief er sie. Und sie ließen ihren Vater Zebedäus mit den Lohnarbeitern im Boot und gingen weg, ihm nach. (Mk 10,28)
Heilung eines Besessenen
21Und sie gehen nach Kapernaum hinein. Und sogleich ging er am Sabbat in die Synagoge[9] und lehrte. (Mt 4,13; Mt 4,23; Mk 2,1; Lk 4,31)22Und sie erstaunten sehr über seine Lehre; denn er lehrte sie wie einer, der Vollmacht hat, und nicht wie die Schriftgelehrten. (Mt 7,28)23Und sogleich war in ihrer Synagoge ein Mensch mit einem unreinen Geist; und er schrie auf (Mt 8,29; Mk 5,8)24und sagte: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus, Nazarener? Bist du gekommen, uns zu verderben? Ich kenne dich, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes. (Mt 2,23; Mk 3,11; Mk 5,7; Joh 6,69)25Und Jesus bedrohte ihn und sprach: Verstumme und fahre aus von ihm! (Mk 1,34; Mk 3,12; Mk 9,25; Apg 16,18)26Und der unreine Geist zerrte ihn und rief mit lauter Stimme und fuhr von ihm aus. (Mk 9,25; Apg 16,18)27Und sie entsetzten sich alle, sodass sie sich untereinander befragten und sagten: Was ist dies? Eine neue Lehre mit Vollmacht? Und den unreinen Geistern gebietet er, und sie gehorchen ihm. (Mk 4,41)28Und die Kunde von ihm ging sogleich hinaus überall in die ganze Umgebung Galiläas.
Heilung der Schwiegermutter des Petrus
29Und sobald sie aus der Synagoge hinausgingen, kamen sie mit Jakobus und Johannes in das Haus Simons und Andreas’. (Mt 8,14; Lk 4,38)30Die Schwiegermutter Simons aber lag fieberkrank danieder; und sofort sagen sie ihm von ihr. (1Kor 9,5)31Und er trat hinzu, ergriff ihre Hand und richtete sie auf; und das Fieber verließ sie, und sie diente ihnen. (Mk 5,41; Mk 9,27; Lk 8,2)
Heilungen und Predigt
32Als es aber Abend geworden war und die Sonne unterging, brachten sie alle Leidenden und Besessenen zu ihm; (Mt 4,23; Mt 8,16; Lk 4,40)33und die ganze Stadt war an der Tür versammelt.34Und er heilte viele an mancherlei Krankheiten Leidende, und er trieb viele Dämonen aus und ließ die Dämonen nicht reden, weil sie ihn kannten. (Mt 8,4; Mk 1,25; Apg 10,38)35Und frühmorgens, als es noch sehr dunkel war, stand er auf und ging hinaus und ging fort an einen einsamen Ort und betete dort. (Mt 14,23; Mk 6,46)36Und Simon und die, die mit ihm waren, eilten ihm nach; (Lk 8,45)37und sie fanden ihn und sagen zu ihm: Alle suchen dich.38Und er spricht zu ihnen: Lasst uns anderswohin in die benachbarten Marktflecken gehen, damit ich auch dort predige; denn dazu bin ich ausgegangen.39Und er ging und predigte in ihren Synagogen in ganz Galiläa und trieb die Dämonen aus. Heilung eines Aussätzigen
40Und es kommt ein Aussätziger[10] zu ihm, bittet ihn und kniet nieder und spricht zu ihm: Wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen. (Mt 8,1; Lk 5,12)41Und er war innerlich bewegt und streckte seine Hand aus, rührte ⟨ihn⟩ an und spricht zu ihm: Ich will. Sei gereinigt! (Mt 9,36; Mk 6,34; Mk 8,2; Lk 10,33)42Und sogleich wich der Aussatz von ihm, und er war gereinigt. (Ps 33,9)43Und er bedrohte ihn und schickte ihn sogleich fort (Mk 1,25)44und spricht zu ihm: Sieh zu, sage niemand etwas! Sondern geh hin, zeige dich dem Priester, und opfere für deine Reinigung, was Mose geboten hat, ihnen zu einem Zeugnis! (3Mo 14,1; Mk 3,12; Mk 5,43; Mk 7,36; Mk 8,26)45Der aber ging weg und fing an, die Sache[11] eifrig zu verkünden und auszubreiten, sodass er nicht mehr öffentlich in eine Stadt gehen konnte; sondern er war draußen an einsamen Orten, und sie kamen von allen Seiten zu ihm. 16Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. (Mt 4,18; Lk 5,2; Joh 1,40)17And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”[6] (Mt 13,47)18And immediately they left their nets and followed him.19And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets.20And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him.
Jesus Heals a Man with an Unclean Spirit
21And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. (Mt 4,13; Mt 4,23; Mk 1,39; Mk 6,2; Lk 4,31)22And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. (Mt 7,28; Mt 7,29)23And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,24“What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are— the Holy One of God.” (Mt 8,29; Lk 1,35; Joh 6,69; Apg 3,14; Apg 19,15; Hebr 7,26; Jak 2,19; 1Joh 2,20; Offb 3,7)25But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” (Mt 12,16)26And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him. (Mk 5,7; Mk 9,26; Apg 8,7)27And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” (Mt 8,27; Apg 17,19)28And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.
Jesus Heals Many
29And immediately he[7] left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. (Mt 8,14; Mk 1,21; Lk 4,38)30Now Simon’s mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. (1Kor 9,5)31And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them. (Mk 9,27; Apg 3,7; Apg 9,41)32That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. (Mt 4,24)33And the whole city was gathered together at the door.34And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him. (Mt 4,23; Mk 3,11; Mk 3,12; Apg 16,17; Apg 16,18)
Jesus Preaches in Galilee
35And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. (Mt 14,23; Lk 4,42; Lk 4,43; Lk 5,16)36And Simon and those who were with him searched for him,37and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” (Joh 12,19)38And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” (Jes 61,1)39And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. (Mk 1,21; Lk 4,44)
Jesus Cleanses a Leper
40And a leper[8] came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” (Mt 8,2; Mt 9,28; Mt 17,14; Mt 27,29; Mk 9,22; Mk 9,23; Mk 10,17; Lk 5,12)41Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.”42And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.43And Jesus[9] sternly charged him and sent him away at once, (Mt 9,30)44and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” (3Mo 14,2; Mt 9,30; Mt 12,16; Mt 17,9; Mk 1,34; Mk 5,43; Mk 6,11; Mk 7,36; Mk 8,26; Lk 9,5; Lk 17,14; Jak 5,3)45But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.
